FTC Disclosure Compliance Rules
In 2015, the Ftc issued new Disclosure Compliance regulations.
The purpose of these regulations is to ensure that readers and viewers of internet media are aware when a blogger or editor is sponsored, promoted, or linked with a private corporation. The readers must know whether or not the content publisher gets money by sharing links or products.
By FTC standards, please presume the following regarding links and posts:
All links on Posh Sittings are affiliate links for which I gain a small commission if certain things are purchased.
Affiliate Disclosure
An affiliate link disclosure or affiliate disclaimer is a statement on your site or page that informs visitors. Users are compensated by companies for advertising, endorsing, or supporting their products or services.
Prices are identical regardless of whether a user buys through an affiliate link or a non-affiliate link.
Clicking on an affiliate link versus a non-affiliate link does not affect the visitor’s purchase price or any other aspect of the transaction.
Amazon affiliate links
Posh Sitting is a affiliate in the associated program of services provided by Amazon. An affiliate marketing system was created to offer a way for site holders to receive service charges by associating to Amazon.com and linked sites, in addition to other websites that may or may not be affiliated with Services provided by Amazon.
Product Affiliate Links:
If you purchase a product after clicking an affiliate link, I will receive a commission or other form of remuneration.
Again, costs are the same when using these affiliate links. You will not incur additional costs by following the link. These are not “pay per click” links.
What about advertisements?
I do not publish sponsored content. I wish to deliver genuine, objective information. If a firm wants to publish sponsored posts on Posh Sittings, I will mention this at the beginning of the article.
